Sedation Dentistry
Many people avoid the dentist due to unresolved fears and anxiety involving perceived pain and trauma. Dr. Leblanc and his staff want their potential clients to know that this is not the case and if needed can help ease your fears through sedation dentistry. You will not necessarily be asleep during your cleaning, exam or procedure. In fact you may stay awake as nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation and IV sedation only work to calm a patient’s anxiety during the dental visit. Some oral medications can be called in the day before a procedure and taken before your dental visit. By relaxing the patient, our staff and doctors are able to accomplish more during the visit than if the patient is nervous and needing to come back for multiple appointments.
